We supply machines using a variety of differing power types, 110v, 3 phase (415 v) and diesel so you can choose the most suitable for the job within the limitations of the site's power. Where the site power provided is inadequate we can provide a 3 phase and / or 110 v generator power.
Our machines are carefully checked and rigorously maintained to keep them reliable and working effectively. All electrical items are fully PAT tested.
Where else can you find?
Scabblers 110v or 3 phase. These machines will give a light 'key' to the surface before applying coatings or they can be used to take a millimetre or two off the surface altogether. They work on the principle of a barrel of star shaped flails grazing the surface.
Grinders 110v or 3 phase. A grinder will smooth and / or polish a surface. We have 17" heavy duty sanding machines (STRs) which come with various grades of sanding papers or mesh discs for finer sanding. We also have single and triple head diamond grinding machines. The single head machines are more aggressive, get the job done quicker but can sometimes leave swirl marks. The triple head machines give a smooth surface without swirls and need less operational skill to control and run. We also have double head machines that will cover larger areas quicker than the single head grinder. All these machines come with diamond grinding shoes as a sale item or can be hired and charged by the millimetre used.
For the edges we have 4" and 9" diamond edging grinders fitted with diamond discs and can be accompanied with a small 110v vacuum for good dust control.
Polishers We have machines that can polish power floated, ground concrete and other surfaces to give a highly polished marble effect. Our triple head diamond grinders will undertake the preparatory work by grinding the surface several times with ever finer diamond grinding shoes. This process is then continued with finer diamond polishing shoes.
Mixers We have a range of forced action paddle mixers for mixing screeds and resins. These are paddle mixers with a 20 - 25 ltr mixing bucket, 30 ltr Daines mixers, 65 ltr rota-mixer, 80 ltr Rhino mixer, 80 ltr. Crete angle mixer (110v or diesel) and 300 ltr PTL mixer (diesel) - all 110v except where diesel is stated.
Floor Planers BEF 320 floor planers will take down a surface by several millimetres. Similar operational principle to scabblers but heavier and more aggressive machines. This machine will also take up a whole surface that has failed and needs re-laying. The machine requires a 3 phase (415v) power supply on site, or a 3 phase generator.
Substance Removal Our single, double or triple head grinders can be fitted with PCD heads. These are ultra hard nodules sticking out of a shoe that graze and scrape up the unwanted surface. This is suitable for all manner of surfaces including screed, resins, carpet adhesive, bitchumin and even vinyl tiles. These machines are so much more effective than scabblers that used to be used because they used to heat up and then spread the surface product that had to come up.
Dust Contro A common by-product of many of the above machines is excessive dust. We have two types of industrial vacuums that we can fit to the machine which will take up the dust as it is generated. We have small 16 amp wet & dry vacuums suitable for hand grinders and large 32 amp CFM vacuums suitable for larger machines generating quantities of dust. The CFM comes in several sizes depending upon whether you are looking for volume or manoeuvrability.
