Whether you're looking for a for a few amps to power lights or hand tools, a bit more for larger sound and lighting system, equipment or machines, through to large 430 volt generators for much larger equipment and machinery; Multi-Hire can provide your solution at a surprisingly low price.
We have petrol or diesel generators with 16 and 32 amp outputs and 32 and 63 amp 3 phase output. The generators are compatible with 110 and 240 volt and 430 volt, 3 phase machines.
With diesel generators we can supply red diesel that is exempt from road fuel duty and attracts VAT at 5%.
For building sites we can supply complete power solutions, with a large 60 KVA generator, a distribution board with multiple outputs and large 10 KVA transformers, again with multiple outputs.

Our 27 and 60 KVA generators are van towable so normal delivery charges apply avoiding hefty lorry with crane delivery costs. Another feature is that they can run 110 volt and 3 phase outputs concurrently, whereas with many generators the operator has to choose by switching a switch.
For added security and peace of mind we provide a wheel lock and tow hitch bar free of charge with both these generators.

Transformers
Very few of our tools run off 240 volts so inevitably a transformer is needed to convert the current down to a safer 110 volts.
We have a range of transformers for hire as follows:
240 volts down to 110 volts with an output of 3 KVA, 16 amps.
240 volts down to 110 volts with an output of 6 KVA, 32 amps.
3 phase down to 110 volts with an output of 3 KVA, 16 amps and 6 KVA, 32 amps and 16 amps.
We strongly advise that transformers are not overloaded to avoid underperformance of, and damage to the tool or machine. To avoid this we will gladly advise.
Leads
We supply appropriate leads with each hire. The leads we stock are 16 amp, 32 amp and 3 phase. We strongly advise that 240 volt extension cables aren't used because they may not have sufficient amperage and in any case, the current deteriorates with distance and can cause underperformance or damage to the tool or machine. We also warn against using more than two of our leads at a time for the same reasons.
DELIVERY
We'll deliver and collect tools and machines for hire or repair and deliver consumables, usually on a same or next day basis. Our charges (ex-VAT) are:
