Our engineers will look over the item and give you a diagnosis and quote. These include a wide range of applications from contractors tools and machines, garden machinery, small hand tools and portable appliances. You can then decide whether or not you want us to carry out the repair. We charge a flat price for the diagnosis of £15 + VAT but that charge comes off the final repair bill, if you do decide to go ahead. We'll then keep you fully informed of progress until the repair is completed and ready to collect.
We will repair any electric (110v, 240v, 400v or battery powered) petrol or two stroke machine. If parts are required we will endeavour to source and purchase them, though this can sometimes be difficult if the tool is non-branded.
Our repairs are always PAT tested and guaranteed for three months.

My two-stroke strimmer clogged up and died. I'd paid quite a lot of money for it so I was reluctant to just replace it. I noticed that Multi-Hire do repairs so I asked them to have a look at it. They stripped it and cleaned out the motor and found that the wrong mix of fuel had been used so they gave me a sachet of oil to mix with a gallon so that in future the mix is exact. The job was turned around in just 4 days and all that cost me just £20. I was delighted.

My lawn mower was supposed to be variable speed but had become just
two-speed; slow and stop! I took it into Multi-Hire to fix the problem and
give it a good all round service. All that was required was a replacement
cable which was fitted in just a few days. However I then received a call
letting me know that a fault with the carburettor had been found which would
cost full replacement costing £50 or suggesting that perhaps they may be
able to get away with a partial replacement. I gave the go ahead: I was
delighted when they called the next day to let me know that the carburettor
was just clogged up and was cleaned out and worked fine. Their bill was just
£35 - truly amazing!

bruising life here and so inevitably suffer as a consequence. All our broken
equipment is dropped off at Multi-Hire to be repaired. Their turnaround is
excellent and their prices and service is so good, we just leave it with
them and ask them to call when it's fixed. We don't even bother asking how
much because we know we can trust them.

We've only just started using Multi-Hire and so far we’ve been really impressed. We had a few bits of equipment lying around discarded at the back of our unit because they weren't working. We dropped them off at Multi-Hire and within a few days we had them back working as good as new. In the current environment, we don't have pots of spare cash to waste on replacing tools so are really grateful to Multi-Hire for saving us a small fortune.
Please note that repairs are carried out subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The contract for the repair of equipment is between Multi-Hire Power Tools Limited (Multi-Hire) and the owner of the item of equipment (Customer.)
2. Multi-Hire will retain the item and undertake diagnosis of the problem and will convey that diagnosis to the Customer. The customer may instruct Multi-Hire to proceed with the repair or to return the item un-repaired and to make a charge for the diagnosis.
3. Multi-Hire will undertake the repair and upon completion advise the customer.
4. The customer will collect or arrange collection immediately and make payment in full before handover of the item.
5. Multi-Hire gives the customer a 30 day parts and labour warranty in respect of the repair only.
6. Multi-Hire will charge storage charges 30 days after a diagnosis and termination of instruction or 30 days after completion of the repair until the item is collected and paid for.
7. Multi-Hire retain a repairer's lien on the item until ALL sums due to Multi-Hire are paid in full. At any time subsequent to this deadline, Multi-Hire may sell the item on the open market and use the proceeds to settle outstanding repair and storage charges and any other charges outstanding to Multi-Hire by the Customer.

We'll deliver and collect tools and machines for hire or repair and deliver consumables, usually on a same or next day basis. Our charges (ex-VAT) are:
