110v Concrete floor grinder, triple headed (Single Speed). We hire the Husqvarna PG 45 / HTC 450, 110 v 32 amp grinder. This machine has a spinning 19” (48 cms) head fitted with 3 plates, each with 3 diamond shoes spinning in the opposite direction to the main head for a flawless finish. The machine is easy to operate and disassembles for easy carrying, even in the boot of most hatchback cars. This floor grinder will cover small and medium sized areas and is also suitable for removing thin levels of substance using PCD/T-Rex shoes. The concrete grinder has a 50 mm dust outlet to connect directly onto a dust control outlet.

Rates quoted are for one week. After a week a 25% daily charge is applied on days 8, 9 and 10 and then a full 2nd week’s hire charge is applied.

FAQs

Q – will this machine rip up surfaces such as screeds and resins? A – Small areas, under 2 mm thick, the Husqvarna PG 450 / HTC 450 should be able to. This is subject to the make up of the surface in question. It can also be fitted with PCDs / T-rex ripping up shoes.

Q – What power is needed for this machine? 32 amps, 110-v.  A transformer can reduce 230-v to 110-v. We recommend a 10 Kva site site transformer rather than the traditional 5 Kva, which is prone to tripping fuses. If a 10 Kva transformer or generator is not available, the 5 Kva transformer can be made to work but you will need to contact us beforehand to discuss work arounds for this problem.

Q – Will this floor grinder take down concrete by several millimetres? A – In theory, yes. In practice it will take a month of Sundays. The machine of choice for that task is the floor planer / scabbler.

Q – Does this floor grinder generate a lot of dust? A- Copious amounts, which is why you need to attach a vacuum dust control unit which will capture nearly 100% of the airborne dust. The vacuum will also be needed to take up the residual dust, left behind on the floor.
